Review Policy & Moderation Guidelines
At Hire IT Expert, we are committed to maintaining a transparent, trustworthy, and fair feedback system. This page explains our moderation standards, verification processes, and content rules.
1. Who Can Leave a Review
Reviews can only be submitted by customers who have engaged a technician or visited a participating store through a service request initiated via the Hire IT Expert website or central support lines.
2. How Reviews are Verified
When a review is submitted, it is checked against our internal database using the Service Request Reference number. Only reviews matching a completed job record receive the "Verified Service" indicator label. Reviews from external sources (such as Google Maps or Trustpilot) are clearly marked with their origin tag and are not labeled as direct first-party verified requests.
3. Moderation and Removal Standards
We believe in displaying both positive and negative experiences. We do not remove negative reviews merely because they express criticism. We will only withhold or edit a review if it violates our safety guidelines:
- Personal Information: Contains customer full names, exact home addresses, private email addresses, or phone numbers.
- Harassment & Abuse: Includes offensive language, threats, personal attacks, or hate speech.
- Spam & Advertising: Contains commercial links, promotional material, or unrelated website references.
- Security Risks: Discloses local passwords, access codes, IP addresses, or device serial numbers.
- Impersonation: False claims of being another customer, technician, or business representative.
4. Responses and Disputes
Technicians or participating store managers may submit a response to customer feedback. Responses are moderated under the same standards. If a customer or technician believes a review is fraudulent or contains errors, they can report it through our Complaints & Feedback page for investigation.
5. Incentives Disclosure
We do not offer rewards, discounts, or vouchers in exchange for positive reviews. If any review incentive is ever provided by a store or program, the review must include a clear disclosure stating that it was incentivized.
